Don’t miss Christmas in April–as we pay tribute to our world premiere production of Christmastown with a distinctly unseasonal classic Christmas bazaar. Hosted at the Port Hope United Church and in collaboration with the Port Hope and District Chamber of Commerce, this event features local vendors, Christmas carol karaoke, and a live gingerbread making contest hosted Happenstance!

Local Vendor Market

In partnership with the Port Hope & District Chamber of Commerce, we’ve invited local businesses and artisans - such as Atelier on John, Haute Goat Farm, Dragon Clay Pottery, and more - to sell their wares throughout the church. And unlike the holiday season, gifts for yourself are guilt-free!

Christmas Karaoke

Pull out your carol books! It’s time to celebrate the “season” with live Christmas karaoke, accompanied by our Resident Music Director Jeff Newberry. Whether you want to share Christmas classics or new-age hits, you’ll have a captive audience for your out-of-season vocal stylings!

Live Gingerbread Decorating Competition

In partnership with our friends at Happenstance Bakery, we’re hosting a live gingerbread decorating competition. Show your skills by creating a gingerbread person from your imagination! The competition will be judged by our friend Ian Everdell and the top competitors get to take home a prize.

Volunteer Bake Sale

Our illustrious Capitol Theatre Volunteers will share their culinary delights with all those who wish to support the Capitol like they do. If you’re looking for something sweet, we’ve got you covered. Grab a snack and listen to the Christmas Karaoke.
