The Municipality of Port Hope, in collaboration with local community partners, is excited to announce the launch of the “BE WALTON” shop local campaign this Canada Day long weekend.
Enjoy many arts and cultural activities at the Community Arts Activation Hub in Lent Lane. Explore captivating light displays, engaging public art, exciting scavenger hunts, lively window display contests, talented buskers, and more throughout the entire heritage district this summer. Additionally, visitors can relax in newly created “Linger Zones” featuring seating and planters, designed to encourage extended stays in our vibrant downtown.
Residents will be invited to demonstrate their support for local businesses through the “BE WALTON” campaign, featuring Be Walton-branded mementos and engaging public calls to action. Look out for lawn signs, buttons and posters available starting Canada Day in Lent Lane and at the Capitol Theatre during the festivities.
