An Evening of Orchestral Led Zeppelin

performed by Michael White & The White

Featuring The Symphony of Rock Experience

The ensemble includes the rock band, Michael White and The White, along with special guests violinists. They will also be joined onstage by the Cobourg Collegiate Music Department conducted by Peter Riccio. Together onstage they create a magical space to share with audiences as they perform new and exciting arrangements of the greatest hits of Led Zeppelin. These orchestral arrangements remain true to the rockin’ spirit of the music while incorporating a unique symphonic sensibility that creates a classic new vibe that comes alive in its’ own right.

This musical production is an incredible sound experience and visual extravaganza complete with a psychedelic liquid light show projected in high definition with a retro kaleidoscope of colour burst images designed to transport your mind to an alternate space and time. This classic rock live concert will have even the most ardent Zeppelin and Who fans cheering for more.

Originally from Los Angeles, Michael was vocalist for The Boyz (1976-77) with George Lynch and Mick Brown, performing shows with Van Halen, Quiet Riot & The Runaways as credited in Gene Simmons book Kiss & Makeup. They performed frequently in Hollywood venues during the late 1970s’.

After Beatlemania, The White were the first musical group to be known as a tribute band. Michael White formed The White in 1977, (as credited in the books, ‘A Celebration’ by Dave Lewis (Omnibus 2003) and ‘Send In The Clones’ by Georgina Gregory (Equinox 2012) and since then, the group has played over 5,000 shows to over a million fans around the world.

While on tour in 1983, Michael White caught the attention of Robert Plant who introduced him to Atlantic Records. The label eventually signed him to a $350,000 record deal and subsequently released his debut solo album in 1987.

Michael has also been credited as being the original vocalist for London & Motley Crue (1979-80) as documented by Nikki Sixx in the official biography 'The Dirt' (2002). He has also performed and or recorded with artists such as Nikki Sixx (Motley Crue), Jeff Healey, Randy Bachman (Guess Who/BTO), Ronnie Hawkins (The Band), Rick Emmett (Triumph), Alice Cooper, Steve Cropper (Booker T & the MG’s/Blues Brothers), Keith Emerson (ELP), Carmine Appice (Rod Stewart), Steve Morse (Deep Purple), Steve Lukather (Toto), Rick Wakeman (Yes), Alan White (Yes), Manny Charlton (Nazareth), Vinnie Colaiuta (Jeff Beck), George Lynch (Dokken), Randy Piper (WASP), Bobby Chouinard (Billy Squire), Albert Lee (Jackson Browne/Joe Cocker), Dweezil Zappa, and Walter Trout.

Although he has been performing Led Zeppelin's music for so many years, Mr. White doesn’t get tired of it. “I love it,” he said. “The music is as vital today as it ever was.” At one recent show in particular, Mr. White said three generations attended together. He was also the leader of the Q107 House Band for 15 years and performed LIVE on the Toronto based Q107fm morning show (2001-2016).
