2024 RED CARPET GALA
The rollout week concludes with a Red Carpet Gala Celebration on April 27, 2024. Whether you dress to impress, or come more casually, it’s bound to be the hottest ticket in town celebrating this cultural jewel!
The Red Carpet Gala Celebration is an opportunity to come together to support and celebrate our local professional arts institution. This year, we’ll be showcasing costumes and props, as we share how we make that Capitol Theatre magic. Start by stepping on the red carpet, sipping a glass of bubbly, and enjoying lights hors d'oeuvres by Jayne’s Gourmet Catering followed by onstage entertainment, some very special guests, a live auction, and lots of local spirits. This is sure to be a sparkling night that you won’t soon forget.
We’ll be breaking out the bubbly for a night of glamour!
What to Expect
Billboard Hits in the Sculthorpe
Join us for hits from our acclaimed Billboard in Concert series. Performed by familiar Capitol artists and accompanied by Jeff Newberry, you’ll hear hits that you know and love in new arrangements.
2024 Season-At-A-Glance in the Rehearsal Hall
Be the first to get a peek at the designs for our upcoming Summer Stage productions; Frog & Toad, Bed & Breakfast, The Full Monty, and Christmastown
Champagne, Strawberries & Season Sell-Off in the Production Studio
See the studio where the onstage magic is made–and sample champagne and strawberries–hosted by Director of Production Katherine Smith. This year, we’re selling off props and costumes from previous Capitol productions, so if you’d like to take home a piece of theatre history, don’t miss your chance to place a bid.
Mainstage Presentation
Hosted by Layne, the Auctionista, you’re in for a night of entertainment and Capitol Theatre magic! We’re celebrating Props & Costumes at the Capitol this year, and we’ve got Greg Keelor (of Blue Rodeo), Jimmy Bowskill (The Sheepdogs), and Melissa Payne (The Hicks) as our headlining acts, and a live auction you don’t want to miss. It’s bound to be a great night of celebration and support for the Capitol!
And much more!
There’s also a silent auction, costume and prop exhibition throughout the theatre, complimentary catering, and some special surprises.
