BE A CAPITOL VOLUNTEER
Volunteers are an integral part of the Capitol Theatre Team providing support in several key areas. Volunteers should have an interest and enthusiasm for the performing arts, a willingness to serve all patrons of the theatre with care and respect, and a friendly and professional attitude.
Volunteers act as hosts for events at the Capitol. As such, their primary responsibility is to ensure that audience members feel welcomed and that they have an enjoyable, comfortable experience in a safe environment.
We have approximately 150 Volunteers covering two major areas. During live theatre performances as well as TIFF and Opera shows one of our six teams of volunteers provide support and guidance for our patrons. During shows, team members fulfill roles which include Ticket Taker, Ushers, Bartenders, 50/50 Ticket Sellers, Greeter, and Concession Seller.
Other Volunteer roles include Box Office attendants and occasionally set building. Box Office attendants are responsible for selling tickets and gift cards as well as assisting patrons by answering questions. The Box Office is open M-F 10 am to 4 pm and 1 hour before each performance.
Thank you for your consideration volunteering with The Capitol Theatre.
