Our annual panto returns for another magical holiday season at the Capitol Theatre! Magic, murder, and mayhem lead the way in this world premiere re-telling of the classic fairytale. Featuring a hilarious harp, gregarious goose, and a whole lot of gold, this musical version of Jack won’t be like anything you’ve seen before.

Created exclusively for Capitol audiences, this world premiere production is written and directed by award-winning star of stage and screen, Rebecca Northan.

Other: Rebecca Northan is an award-winning director, playwright, actor, and improviser. She is well known for her hit show, Blind Date, which has been touring for over 10 years and has played off-Broadway, in London’s West End, and across Canada. In 2024 Rebecca will co-create and direct Goblin:Oedipus for the High Performance Rodeo in Calgary, and Comedy of Errors for Bard on the Beach in Vancouver.

Adam Campbell - Sound Designer

Selected Credits:Adam has worked as sound designer/composer with Stratford Festival, Blyth Festival, Human Body Expression, Edmonton Opera, Lights On Stratford and more. Adam has toured and performed throughout North America as a percussionist with TorQ Percussion Quartet and Ladom Ensemble, and regularly plays in the pit for musical theatre productions with companies such as Mirvish Productions and Stratford Festival. 
Other: A versatile sound designer, composer, percussionist and singer-songwriter, originally from Summerside, Prince Edward Island, in 2019, Adam released his debut solo singer-songwriter album, Guess I’m A People Too, featuring a mix of folk, rock and 90’s-tinged original music. Adam currently lives in Stratford, Ontario, with his wife Alice and their cats Ninja and Nazca.

Other: Joyce Padua is a Toronto-based set and costume designer. A BFA graduate of York University, her work as a designer and assistant has been featured in several productions including shows with the Shaw Festival, the Stratford Festival, and Factory Theatre. In 2021, Joyce was nominated as a Siminovitch Prize Protegée under designer Gillian Gallow.
Nick Andison - Lighting Designer

Nick also enjoys his work as a mentor and Technical Director for the Regional Arts Program productions at Cawthra Park Secondary School, where he studied before his theatre production studies at Ryerson University.
