ABOUT ERIN PEIRCE

The Capitol Theatre is pleased to introduce Erin Peirce as Managing Director.

Erin brings to the Capitol Theatre an enormous range of experience in the entertainment industry, innovative sales and business development and building internal and external relationships key to the strategic success of the organization.

She joins the Capitol from one of the world’s most famous and successful entertainment organizations where she held the position of Vice President of Business Operations, Second City Canada, the wildly-popular purveyor of “fearless comedy” that gave the world John Candy and other legendary comedic actors.

While there, she cut operating expenses in year one, launched additional theatre programming in off-peak time slots, increased ticket sales and enacted initiatives to strengthen the culture through financial transparency and increased staff engagement and accountability.Erin Peirce

Erin’s 16 years with The Second City Canada were accompanied by a strong educational background in sales and advanced prospecting, travel and tourism and other areas. She supports cancer research, is a member of Women of Influence Inc. and in her personal life is dedicated to outdoor activity.

Erin has been described as action-driven and she has what former colleagues call a “solid track record for designing and implementing sales and marketing partnerships, identifying new business opportunities and delivering results.”

Capitol Theatre President and Board Chair Olga Cwiek cites Erin as a “strong and compatible partner with Susan Ferley, our Artistic Director since February 18, 2019. In combination, Susan and Erin give us a powerful, stabilizing and creative top management team.” Susan adds “I look forward to working with Erin, as together we strive to ensure that this beautiful theatre not only survives but flourishes.”
